Here comes an intense night of local and touring regional sound artists—we’re looking forward to continuing our summer of sounds as Peter J Woods, Kingston Family Singers, and Dan of Earth squeal into town, to battle local favorites Jason Soliday, Karl J. Palouček , and Justin Marc Lloyd.
Peter J Woods (Milwaukee, WI) creates theatrical actions in which he and sound have heated and frustrated dialogue. David Mamet of Noise.
Kingston Family Singers (St. Louis, MO) invites you to gaze upon the secret society led by Maxwell Kingston, a quiet and mild mannered dachshund who will unveil the mysteries to you for a nominal fee.
Dan of Earth (Milwaukee, WI) brings a spastic home-brew from up north, a bursting bubbling concoction from a collection of custom builds.
Jason Soliday (Chicago, IL) storytelling, either literally or literally (depending on your definition), and likewise, alternately soothing or anxiety producing.
Karl J. Palouček (Chicago, IL) will fill the room with machines and make them dance and sing, a choreographed aleatoric wonderland born of abandoned factories and weather patterns.
Justin Marc Lloyd (Chicago, IL) creates a colorful landscape of memories new and old, scraping by on sweet dangles and missing kittens.
