∆∆∆ Jeb Bishop (jebbishop.com) has performed, toured and recorded with groups including the Vandermark Five, the Peter Brötzmann Chicago Tentet, Ted Sirota’s Rebel Souls, Terminal Four, School Days, Ken Vandermark’s Territory Band, Rob Mazurek’s Exploding Star Orchestra, Globe Unity Orchestra, and his own Jeb Bishop Trio. He also co-led the Lucky 7s project with New Orleans-based trombonist Jeff Albert, and is a member of cooperative quartet The Engines.
His upcoming album, Three Valentines and Goodbye will be released at this event on limited edition cassette by 1980 Records.
∆∆∆ Graham Stephenson (amplified trumpet) has been playing electroacoustic improvised music in Chicago since 2007. Releases include Touching (Erstwhile Records) and No Dice (Hideous Replica) — both duos with Zoots Houston — and the solo album Defiantly Not (Pilgrim Talk). Graham incorporates influences from other extended-technique brass players and abstract electronics artists in solo and collaborative improvisations focused on sparse textures, continuous streams of sound, and the limits of control.
∆∆∆ Bill Harris (billyharris.net)is a drummer, composer, improviser, and audio engineer from Pittsburgh currently based in Chicago. Harris also operates and produces for Amalgam, a Chicago-based collective.
∆∆∆ Kent Kessler is an American jazz double-bassist, best known for his work in the Chicago avant-garde jazz scene.
