The Lover’s Eye Press X Filth Magazine Reading Series is a collaboration between two Chicago-based literary journals to bring you the best and brightest voices from Chicago’s literary community. The editors of Lover’s Eye Press and Filth Magazine have curated a vibrant mix of both well established and up-and-coming local writers, who will spend the evening reading selections from their latest work as well as selling and signing copies of their books.
Our June roster of readers will include Michelle go-un Lee, Gwen Hilton, Robert Kloss, and Annie Grizzle.
The event will be hosted by the editorial teams of Lover’s Eye Press and Filth Magazine: Alexandrine Ogundimu, Eniko Deptuch Vaghy, and Michael Williamson.
Highly suggested $5 donation at the door. All proceeds will be split between the readers and organizers.
Robert Kloss is the author of several books, including The Woman Who Lived Amongst the Cannibals, A Light No More, and The Genocide House.
Gwen is a writer and musician based out of Chicago. Her book Sent to the Silkworm House is coming out at ExPat Press later this year.
Michelle go-un Lee is a fiction candidate at the Litowitz MFA+MA at Northwestern University. She is from southern California, and currently resides in Chicago. Her work has been published in Black Warrior Review and CRAFT Literary, and is forthcoming in New South.
Annie Grizzle is an experimental writer and maker currently based in Chicago. Much of her literary work explores the visual and sonic capabilities of language, examples of which can be found on her website: anniegrizzle.com
