ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
LUIS MEJICO is an artist based in Chicago. He has performed and exhibited work at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chicago, Mana Contemporary, Links Hall, and Zhou Brothers Art Center, among others. Utilizing facets that form the basis for social bonds such as intimacy, empathy, and trust, Luis Mejico integrates structures of social relationships directly into the parameters of his work.
CLEE McCRACKREN is a chicago based musician and performing artist. Notable past performances include Erik Satie’s Vexations; In C with Stuart Dempster; and a multi-media “recital” featuring a composition for lip-synced voice and chamber ensemble. Other recent works include a sound collage featured on the ICAREIFYOULISTEN mixtape, and an opera commissioned for Luis Mejico and Tyler Lumm’s “Following: Valentine’s Day” presented by High Concept Labs. All of Clee’s work is about TIME and clocks.
TANNAZ MOTEVALLI is a transdisciplinary artist born and raised in Bmore. She is now in Chi-city feeling kinda cold and looking for love. She’s easily obsessed and spends most of her time ruminating on fantasies with a hot cup of tea. She is both amazed and afraid of her own body. She wants you to be happy but knows you keep your feelings in until it all boils over and you snap. She wants to stroke your head and say it’s okay. She’s here for you; her heart is big.
