Thank you everyone for your patience. We are BACK for our late summer/fall programming!

Our next workshop will focus on performing with sound and music on your laptop!

Come hang out with us and artist Hedra Rowan and learn all about sound and performance techniques using free software.

About the Workshop:

This workshop will focus on performing with free software. First offering a brief survey of what freeware is and how to find it, we will then focus on several particularly fun applications. Orca is a programming language that uses only the numbers and letters on the keyboard, and, the other software, Alter/Ego is a vocal synthesizer powered by a cyborg goblin witch. Come find out what this means at the workshop!

About Hedra:

Hedra Rowan is a computer musician in Chicago. She runs the concert series/tape label Bodymilk. In addition to solo performances, she plays with Bimbo Rococo, Tallulah Bankheist, Squonk, and Hell & The High School.

Space is limited to 15 people – please RSVP in advance as we unfortunately cannot accept walk-ups. Link in bio!

**This project is partially supported by an Individual Artists Program grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.**
